I’m convinced it’s something about when you tell someone you’re a foodie or you have a food blog, they start suggesting a list of their favorite restaurants you must try. Well, that’s how I found out about Joy Café. It was actually my friend’s favorite breakfast spot in Buckhead. At the time she was telling me that the restaurant was relocating to Midtown and hadn’t opened yet. But long and behold she had the reopening date on her calendar! She put so many emphases on how amazing the food and service were. I had no choice but to try this place in hopes of getting the same experience. A couple of months after they reopened I went on a Sunday for brunch. The wait was about an hour which is ridiculous to me, but we did want every girl lives for which was take pictures and catchup. It didn’t even feel like an hour. NO, you can’t make reservations!

This is an address you should put in your GPS and slow down when you get within 2 minutes because this restaurant is very easy to pass. I should know I passed it two times in the same day! Unlike many places in Atlanta, a parking deck is attached to the same building. Parking is no more than seven dollars.

A café is a small restaurant that sells light meals and drinks. And the Joy Café is just that, very small cute restaurant hints why they always have a long wait to be seated, BUT WORTH IT! They have both indoor and outdoor seating which is amazing when the weather is beautiful. The first time we ate at the restaurant we were greeted by the husband, he was walking around the restaurant to make sure people were satisfied. He came to our table and talked to us for a while and sent his wife Joy to meet us also, the couple is extremely down to earth.

Joy Café is one of my favorite brunch places in Atlanta. If people ask me where to go for brunch or come in from out of town this is where I send them, it never disappoints! The bottom line is Joy Café is a completely amazing mom-and-pop restaurant that should be on everyone’s brunch list if it’s not already!!
