Rankings on a scale of 1-10 is based on customer service, food preparation, taste and style

Milk and Honey have created a name for itself as one of the most popular black-owned brunch spots in Atlanta. It was the talk around town for months straight when they first opened. It’s known for their mind-blowing, flavorsome, mouthwatering, southern homecooked foods and I needed to see what all the hype was about. Milk and Honey is located in a small plaza off of Cascade Road so parking is free but availability depending on the time you arrive.

Milk and Honey is a relatively small restaurant which is known for their long lines and even longer waiting time. The best advice I can share if you’re planning to try this restaurant is to go during the weekday! The first time I went to Milk and Honey was on a Saturday. It was jam-packed, not to mention a line at the door of people waiting to be seated. I was prepared to wait until the hostess told me the current wait time was three hours. Yes, I said for three hours! And yes, many people were waiting patiently in-line. Needless to say, I chose another restaurant to eat at on that day. But moving forward I knew not to come on the weekends.

My second attempt was during the week around lunchtime, it was still packed but we were able to walk straight in and be seated. The atmosphere is amazing, the customer service is outstanding but most importantly the food not only tastes extraordinary it looks like it also. We order our food and before I could take a sip of my mimosa the food was on the table. You get a bang for your buck with the hefty portion sizes. And not to mention each-and-every plate that left the kitchen enticed me. Side note I have a horrible habit of gazing at people’s food.

If this restaurant hasn’t made it on your brunch list threw the whole list away! If you’re visiting Atlanta and looking for a local gem or if you live in Atlanta and looking to add a new restaurant to the rotation, look no further this is the place! As I wobbled out of the restaurant with a to-go box, I understood why this place is the talk of the town. I highly recommend this restaurant.
